Fourth of July 2015 in New York CityThe Fourth of July is an exciting, patriotic day that families throughout the United States look forward to each year. One of the most anticipated events of the holiday is Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks show in New York City. This year, the 39th annual show will feature the debut of Gloria Estefan’s newest song, “America,” accompanied by the Park Place Community Middle School Choir. Rodney Adkins, Cece Winans and the United States Air Force Band are set to play as well.
This spectacular and patriotic showcase begins at about 9:20 p.m. and will be ignited from four barges positioned between 23rd and 37th Street in midtown and one double-barge below the Brooklyn Bridge. More than 40,000 fireworks will be set off throughout the 25 minute extravaganza!
There are many great places to go to view the show, but one of the most exciting and breathtaking views will be from the Hudson River. Choosing a boat cruise with Metro Yacht Charters will provide you with a front row seat to this expansive firework show, as well as an exciting and enjoyable night of festivities.
